BIO

Dr. Andrea Anampa-Guzmán is a physician-scientist with expertise in clinical pharmacology and drug metabolism, currently serving as an NIH T32 Clinical Pharmacology Fellow in the Department of Oncology at the Mayo Clinic. Originally from Lima, Peru, she earned her medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and conducted research in the Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Anampa-Guzmán has a proven track record in oncology and hematology research, with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and multiple prestigious awards, including the MOLA-Michael Reese Foundation Scholarship, the AACR Global Scholar-in-Training Award, and the Conquer Cancer Foundation Annual Meeting Research Award.

She is actively engaged in medical education and professional advocacy, having served as an assistant producer of The DEI Shift, a podcast of the American College of Physicians (ACP), and as a volunteer for the Guideline Advisory Group of ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology). She is also involved in the #HemOnc Fellows Network and contributes to national initiatives as a member of the Survivorship Task Group at the American Cancer Society National Lung Cancer Roundtable (ACS NLCRT). 

Dr. Anampa-Guzmán is passionate about drug development, translational research, and leveraging modeling approaches to optimize oncology therapeutics. A strong advocate for mental health, diversity, and equity, she is particularly interested in clinical pharmacology, medical affairs, and translational research.
